About Us
There are many reasons why Muriel Green is special. Our integrated pre school (3 months to rising 5, fee paying) and nursery (state nursery school rising 4 to 5) is popular with both children and their families. Our nursery has a friendly atmosphere which encourages children to learn and socialise (see Aims and Values) and provides them an excellent preparation for life at ‘big school’. Our ethos is “We are all different, we are all special”.
And of course the children love our large outside play area and gardens! These areas are always well used and we can also spread out into the neighbouring Victoria Playing Fields next door. We also have a school cat called Sunshine.
These qualities and facilities have been recognised in our latest Ofsted report which rated us as “outstanding” in the quality of teaching and learning as well as leadership and management.

A Parent’s Prayer
Always believe in yourself.
Promise always to be compassionate.
Appreciate that you make mistakes.
Recognise that I do too.
Entrust me with your worries.
Never doubt that I will support you when you need me.
Talk to me about the things you find difficult.
Share your dreams.
Please understand that I can have moods just like you.
Receive a little advice now and again.
Accept that I sometimes get things wrong.
You need to help me get things right.
Enjoy your life.
Realise that I love you without reservation.
