Staff News
Belinda Thomas, Senior Pre School Deputy has been successful in her application as Early Years Teacher in a school in Madrid from September, Well done Belinda! Here is a note from her...
"My leaving date is getting all too close now. I am excited about my new venture and about my new job but sad to be leaving Muriel Green. I have had the pleasure of working alongside a superb team of people who have not only helped and supported me in my role but who have also led and guided me and for that I am eternally grateful. It has been (and continues to be) a joy and a pleasure working with all of you and your children and I thank you all for the support and friendship you have given me."
Hertfordshire Quality Standards
Hertfordshire Quality Standards (HQS) is a quality improvement scheme for providers of early education and childcare in Hertfordshire. We at Muriel Green Nursery and pre-school are currently undertaking this accreditation. There is an award at the end of the process, which reflects that we have met the HQS criteria and provide a high quality service and environment that exceeds the requirements of the Ofsted framework. The inspectors visited us on the 20th January 2010 to observe our practice.
We have passed the first two modules with the 3rd set for submission - different practitioner working groups are created with each new module allowing a whole nursery perspective and collaboration. We value the parent’s honesty and support with each module’s parental and children’s voice elements. It affirms our parental partnership working as well as providing sound reflection from parents.
