Head of school / Day Care Manager 's message

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a wonderful week we’ve had at Muriel Green, embracing the joys that come with rainy days! Our children have truly enjoyed exploring the outdoors, splashing in muddy puddles, and discovering the world around them with big smiles and a great sense of adventure. There’s something so magical about seeing the awe and wonder as they learn through these moments—rain or shine!
Thank you for your continued support, especially when it comes to providing your children with suitable clothing for all kinds of weather. A gentle reminder: if your child has come home in any of our spare nursery clothes, please return them to us when you can, as this helps us ensure we can support everyone’s needs.
Additionally, if you have any spare trousers or socks that your child may have outgrown, we would gratefully accept them for our nursery supply. Donations like these make it easier for us to care for all the children, especially during those occasional adventures that lead to a change of clothes. Wishing you all a warm and restful weekend ahead.

Success Story of the Week!

This week in Nursery has been full of exciting learning and success. With the help of Sarahjane, the children made mushroom soup, as mushroom was our food of the week. They helped to prepare ingredients, smell and taste the soup, building confidence, independence and healthy eating habits (EYFS: Physical Development; Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Understanding the World). We also had a surprise visit from two staff from St Albans Library, who read stories and sang nursery rhymes with the children. This special visit helped to develop a love of books, listening skills and early literacy (EYFS: Communication and Language; Literacy).
