The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is government funding provided to early years settings in England to support the learning and development of three- and four-year-old children who could be at risk of disadvantage. Its purpose is to help close the attainment gap between these children and their peers by enabling schools and early years providers to offer enhanced support, resources, and opportunities tailored to individual needs. The funding is intended to improve outcomes in areas such as communication, literacy, social skills, and emotional development during the crucial early stages of education.
We carefully consider the individual needs of each child eligible for funding and allocate the Early Years Pupil Premium to support their learning and development. Our aim is to provide equitable access to resources and the curriculum, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and helping to close any gaps in achievement.
