Head of school / Day Care Manager 's message
Dear parents and carers,
The weather has been quite varied this week, but the children have had plenty of opportunities for play in the garden; where the children have been able to explore, make friends, and build their confidence in a safe and happy space. The babies have been dressing up in the garden and looking at themselves in mirrors, the Conker Room children have been trying out the larger equipment and are becoming experts at balancing, the older children have been joining in with Easter egg hunts looking for colourful surprises in the garden.
We are saying goodbye to some of our daycare team over the next few weeks; Louisa, the room leader in Conker Room is going off to follow her dream of becoming a child counsellor. Karen and Katrina are both retiring. They have all promised to come back and visit us. We wish them well on their next adventures and thank them for all they have done for Muriel Green during their time here.
Thank you for your continued support, and we wish you all a restful and joyful Easter break!

Success Story of the Week!
This week in Willow Room we have had a lovely time together celebrating spring and Easter. The children have really enjoyed taking part in lots of festive activities, including exciting egg hunts, egg and spoon races and bunny obstacle courses to practise their jumping and hopping skills. We also made Easter nests using shredded wheat and melted chocolate for the children to take home. These experiences have supported Physical Development (gross motor skills, coordination, fine motor control), Personal, Social and Emotional Development (turn-taking, sharing, working together) and encouraged curiosity, independence and enjoyment (Characteristics of Effective Learning).
