Head of school message
We are excited to announce that as an end of the academic year treat we have booked a soft play bus. The bus will come to Muriel Green on Friday the 18th July! We know that for some of our children soft play centres are overwhelming and challenging places due to the size and the volume of children in them. We will be taking out small groups across the day so they can enjoy the experience with the staff and their friend in the room. If your child does not usually attend on that day contact us about arranging a slot for them to enjoy this treat!

BIRCH rOOM
Book & Rhyme of the week

For the next three weeks in Birch Room, our focus book will be Somebody Swallowed Stanley by Sarah Roberts. To deepen the children’s understanding and engagement, we will use a sensory story experience alongside the reading. This hands-on approach allows the children to explore the story through touch, smell, sound, and movement. They will have the chance to feel slippery shaving foam, smell fresh oranges and salty water, hear bubbling and gulping sounds, and even swirl water like Stanley’s journey through the body. This immersive experience helps bring the story to life and makes learning both fun and memorable.

Our rhyme of the week is "Little Bo Peep"

Home Learning: Throwing Skills
On a warm day, fill small water balloons and have a gentle toss game in the garden. This activity introduces an element of fun with splashes while developing throwing skills and control.
Success Story of the Week!

We are thrilled to share this week’s success from the Willow Room! The children had a delightful time creating a colorful chocolate cake adorned with strawberries. They actively participated in weighing and mixing the ingredients, turning the baking process into a fun and educational experience.
Through this activity, the children enhanced their understanding of measurements, improved their motor skills, and enjoyed the opportunity to express their creativity. It was a wonderful team effort that resulted in a deliciously beautiful cake.
