Head of school / Day Care Manager 's message
What a wonderful week it’s been at Muriel Green Nursery! The children’s energy, curiosity, and laughter have filled our setting with such warmth, and we are truly grateful for the sense of community we share with you all.
A special highlight this week was welcoming one of our Nursery School parents in to share Diwali stories. The children were captivated and it was a fantastic opportunity for them to learn more about this beautiful celebration. These real-life experiences help foster awe and wonder and make learning meaningful for every child—thank you for your involvement and support.
As a gentle reminder, if you are using the disabled parking bay, please ensure that your blue badge is displayed clearly while parked. This is important for ensuring the space remains accessible for those who need it most. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Additionally, we are pleased to let you know that parent consultations will be taking place after half term. This is a wonderful opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and next steps with their key worker. Please keep an eye on your emails, as booking information for your slot will be sent out soon.  You will be able to choose either come on site or by team.

Additional Sessions are available in our Day Care
We now have extra day care sessions available each week, offered on an ad-hoc basis with no weekly commitment required. Availability may vary, and the table below details next week’s available sessions.

Success Story of the Week!
We are delighted to share the success of the week from our Conker Room. The children had an enriching sensory experience, exploring various herbs and tastes as part of our activities connected to the book of the week, "The Enormous Turnip."
This activity was not only enjoyable but also linked closely with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) outcomes. It supported the children in their understanding of the world, exploring how different herbs can affect our senses and how they relate to the story. It also encouraged their communication and language development, as they expressed their thoughts and preferences about the different tastes and textures.
The hands-on experience added a tangible and interactive dimension to our storytelling, nurturing the children’s natural curiosity and promotiing a deeper connection with the story’s themes.
