Head of school / Day Care Manager 's message
Dear Parents and Carers,
We’ve had a wonderful week, full of exploring and learning! The children are thriving in every way, growing in confidence, developing new skills, and enjoying their friendships. It’s been a joy to watch them explore and grow.
We would also like to extend a warm invitation to any parent interested in joining our fantastic governing body. Our governors bring years of experience and a range of skills, working closely with us to raise standards and support every child’s success. They are dedicated to our shared vision and spend time alongside us, ensuring the very best for the children in our care. Their support, challenge, and guidance truly make a difference.
Thank you for being such an important part of our school community.
Have a restful weekend!

Nursery School
Book & Rhyme of the week
This week, our Nursery School will continue exploring the delightful story of "The Enormous Turnip." This classic tale provides a wonderful opportunity for children to engage with themes of teamwork, persistence, and sequencing, which align with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Through storytelling and related activities, we aim to enhance language development and cooperative play.

Home Learning: Compare Skill
Use everyday opportunities to talk about and compare length, weight, and capacity. Use toys to make the longest line or the tallest tower. When tidying up or doing shopping, which things are the heaviest/lightest to carry? At bath time fill different containers with water and explore which can hold the most/least.

Success Story of the Week!
This week a great success as our Nursery School children explored the delightful story of "The Enormous Turnip" by making their own turnip soup! The children enthusiastically participated in chopping vegetables, connecting their culinary adventure to the teamwork and collaboration themes from the story. The children also enjoyed eating the soup. This hands-on experience not only reinforced the narrative from our book of the week but also offered opportunities to learn about healthy eating and develop fine motor skills as part of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. It was wonderful to see the children's excitement and teamwork in action!
