Head of school message

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Head of School at Muriel Green Nursery. My name is Kirstie Viner and I am thrilled to be joining such a warm and vibrant community. With over twelve years of teaching experience, most recently moving from a primary school in Hertfordshire, I am committed to ensuring the very best education and care for each of our children.

In my new role, I have the privilege of working closely with Sue Wells, our wonderful Day Care Manager, who oversees the Day Care provision within our setting. Together, we are dedicated to supporting every family and making sure all children thrive through a nurturing, child-centred approach.

It has been a real pleasure spending time getting to know the children and staff and seeing the nursery’s unique spirit in action. This week has brought great delight as the children embraced the rain, splashing in puddles and exploring the outdoors. As someone passionate about outdoor learning, I truly believe there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!

I look forward to meeting you all over the coming weeks and working in partnership to create a happy, secure, and exciting learning environment for your children.

Success Story of the Week!

We are happy to share the success of our week in the Acorn room, where the children have been developing their pulling skills using a variety of engaging materials. Through creative play with playdough, balloons, and other items, the babies have not only enhanced their fine motor skills but also enjoyed sensory exploration and discovery.

The children showed remarkable curiosity and determination as they explored different textures and techniques, fostering both their physical development and confidence. It was heartwarming to see their delight and perseverance throughout these activities.
