Head of school message
We've had a fantastic week at school, with the highlight being the wonderful visit from Ark Farm. It was such a joy to welcome their mobile farm, complete with donkeys, goats, rabbits, chickens, pigs, and more! The children were thrilled to see the animals up close and had the opportunity to learn all about them through hands-on experiences.
We are deeply committed to funding these enriching activities, as they bring so much value to our curriculum and the children's learning.
Keep an eye out—before the end of term, we’re looking forward to a visit from a soft play bus which is sure to be another exciting experience for all the children at Muriel Green!

Book & Rhyme of the week

This week, we will be continuing to explore book "Owl Babies by Martin Waddell". The story follows three baby owls—Sarah, Percy, and Bill—as they worry about their missing mother, only to be comforted when she returns. To make the story engaging for our children, we will be using a slightly shorter version of the text, brought to life through a sensory story. A sensory story uses a combination of words and rich sensory experiences—such as textures, sounds, scents, and visual elements—to help children connect with the narrative in a meaningful way.

Our rhyme of the week is "Hickory Dickory dock"

Home Learning: We have been singing the rhyme Hickory Dickory Dock. With your child look around the house or outside for different clocks. Use language highlighting the shape, the numbers and what it is "Tick, tock, clock"
Success Story of the Week!
This week, we celebrated a fantastic success with our "FUDGE Breakfast" even. It was truly lovely to see so many dads and granddads engaging with their children and grandchildren, both in their rooms and outside in the garden.
The shared breakfast in the dining room was a delightful highlight, where families enjoyed croissant and fruits. This gathering not only provided a wonderful opportunity for connection and community-building but also reinforced the importance of family involvement in our children's early learning experiences.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event a success. Your presence and enthusiasm created a welcoming and joyful atmosphere, and we are grateful for the support and sense of community. We look forward to more events that bring families together in meaningful ways!
