Head of school message

.We are now entering the final part of the summer holidays but we have continued to be just as busy. The practice for our Summer sport afternoon event are continuing across the rooms and in the garden. Pleas ensure that you have the date of 27th August firmly in your diaries.

Acorn Room have enjoyed lots of bucket time this week, anticipating what might be inside the bucket and building up their attention. There has been lots of excitement when the object is revealed and lots if flashing balls, squeeze toys and bubbles.

Conker Room have been promoting the use of their finger muscles through their busy fingers skill which has been "grasp". They have used tennis balls and tea strainers to collect pompoms in the tuff tray. The children are also becoming more confident with their free flow play onto the patio moving freely between inside and outside.

Willow Room have been squeezing fresh lemons to make their own lemonade, using the juicers to squeeze out the juice or using their hand. The children could then taste the lemonade, talk about what it tasted like, the whole setting enjoyed the lovely smell the lemons created.

Nursery School a lot of our children are getting ready to move onto new schools after the holidays and we have helped them by looking at some school uniforms, trying them on, looking at different colours and badges. The older children have helped some of their Willow friends to navigate their way round the Nursery room showing them where things belong and the different areas of the room, getting them ready for their move into Nursery in September.
